So the bait was bought, the tackle prepared and the local stretch of river had been surveyed. However at 0530 in the morning, on the first day of the river season fishing was not meant to be.
Ill health on two fronts put paid to that.
Disappointment reigns.
Hopefully another chance next weekend.
